The ducks look familiar, but the trees don't. It sounds like you are having a nice trip.
I'm sorry, I thought I had answered your question about rain barrels. You connect them to gutters on your house, and they catch rain that falls, and you can use it on your plants. Do they put gutters on houses in your country? Larry got ours connected, and I'm thinking about asking him if he wants to write a post about what he did.

These are lesser whistling ducks and quite common in Upper Assam during the monsoons. You may visit the following link to get a clearer photo.
