Ugratara is another form of goddess Parvati.The temple is generally identified with TIKSANA-KANTA,EKA JATA of the Buddhist pantheon.Legend says that navel of Sati is related to this temple.

ReplyDelete@Ramesh..some parts of temple were destroyed in a devastating earthquake...some portions were rebuilt by devotees.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful temple right in the centre; with lots of coconut trees in the background and tiny birds adding to the beauty of the surroundings.
