We always visited this Naamghar during Durga Puja.

Live in Mumbai now.

Miss my Shillong.

My children don't realise what quality of life as a child we had in Shillong. Serene beauty all around but very much connected to the world at the same time.

I will never forget the State Central Library where I used read cricket stories in Daily Telegraph, Times London and other papers from abroad available in about 3 days from the date of publication.

Thanks, Kavita for the post and the photos.

But Laban Naamghar has also changed a lot.SIP Researcherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13829652035624100568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4741045142597397080.post-45428140993282170522009-10-10T06:20:04.855+05:302009-10-10T06:20:04.855+05:30Thank you Saritha....if ever you plan a visit to N...Thank you Saritha....if ever you plan a visit to NE ,do it on this time of the year, the structure of the complex is a very simple one but the activities that take place there are a big attraction.Kavita Sahariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11342095914702911870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4741045142597397080.post-81982794631894475152009-10-09T20:03:39.732+05:302009-10-09T20:03:39.732+05:30Wonderful temple structure kavitha.I loved the god...Wonderful temple structure kavitha.I loved the goddess durga idol,i wish i could go there :)Sarithahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13291166300345167494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4741045142597397080.post-42032781272051276062009-10-09T12:00:26.193+05:302009-10-09T12:00:26.193+05:30@Subhash....next time plan a longer visit,Diva and...@Subhash....next time plan a longer visit,Diva and Yagya would love our Shillong house, its fun running over a wooden floor and we have more than 50 pigeons ,they can feed them grains...its fun.Show this post to Mitu too.Kavita Sahariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11342095914702911870noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4741045142597397080.post-8049370997696003522009-10-08T18:16:10.816+05:302009-10-08T18:16:10.816+05:30I cant believe you have so beautiful surroundings ...I cant believe you have so beautiful surroundings in your Shillong house.
You feel so close to god when you are so close to the nature!!
subhashAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4741045142597397080.post-22009235455318904122009-10-08T14:22:23.899+05:302009-10-08T14:22:23.899+05:30@Amatamari...oh!what a beautiful quote.
